Happy birthday dad! And zzaapp! Speed kills.

2nd February 2007.Waking up in the morning to wish dad happy birthday.Suddenly I got news that an acquaintance of mine just passed away this morning.Car accident.He lost a lot of blood.The saddest things are,he’s my friends’ friend,he’s still very very young (my age) and he was innocent.He was the back passenger.The driver was a dangerous speed enthusiast I guess.And his enthusiasm led to Izwan aka Mango’s death.
I went to his house and read Yasin.But later I found out that his funeral will be after the Friday’s prayers and I couldnt attend.I felt really bad for that/But mom told me most of the event.She said she had never been to a funeral of a teenage boy like him where almost thousands of people came.The factors I thought :
- His mom is friendly.
- He’s a good-looking boy with a good behaviour.
Most of TTDI residents came every night for his tahlil.and the 3rd nite was the last and I was there.TTDI is a small neighbourhood and everyone knows each other here.That’s the advantage.
So I made some conclusions :
- Death can heppen anytime.
- Being nice pays.
- Speed kills.So friends, I know this is the time of our lives to enjoy but always remember,dont bring misery to others’ lives due to your joyness.
P/s: Let us all pray for Izwan Ikmal Ariff’s soul to rest in peace.
